I actually don’t use Instagram, because they have a no nudity policy, but you’re right - I am a big fan of iPhone photos, and I make heavy and unapologetic use of obvious filters and iPhone programs such as Hipstamatic, Snapseed, Camera+, and others.
I think iPhoneography is like Polaroids - fast, fun, imperfect, and a little bit cheeky. I think iPhoneography is the perfect medium for erotic photography in particular, because it has an immediate and unvarnished quality to it that lends itself to a sense of authenticity. I don’t do much, if any, retouching to my iPhone photos, so in a way there’s more truth in them (even with all the filters) than in some of my apparently simpler camera-based imagery.
